JFK North CEO Ashley Vertuno Celebrates 1 Year

In November, Executive Trustee member, Ashley Vertuno, celebrated her first-year as CEO of JFK Medical Center North Campus. Ashley has had an impressive career leading up to this milestone, holding numerous leadership positions across multiple healthcare settings, currently making her one of the youngest CEOs in the HCA Healthcare enterprise. She has proved herself as a dedicated, hands-on leader by providing unwavering support upon taking the CEO role in the midst of the pandemic. Ashley says, “My transition to JFK North during a pandemic has been fast paced, I’ve had to rethink the way we do things and open myself to new perspectives. Developing a greater willingness to adapt, embrace opportunities to change and lead others through change. The relentless pursuit of excellence through my leadership has been fostering getting 1% better each day across a series of actions which will yield big change. This requires relentless passion. The leading impact to the transition has been to remind myself of the ‘why’ of what we do. People want to be a part of something larger than themselves and this is why we get up in the morning to come work at JFK North, for our colleagues, patients and our community”.
