Downtown Adds Life and Style to Upscale Lifestyle Center

The City of Palm Beach Gardens approved plans tonight that will transform the eat, live and play areas of ShopCore’s flagship property at Downtown Palm Beach Gardens. The common areas of the lifestyle plaza will be reimagined with new murals, landscaping, sculptural seating and swings.
“We are truly grateful for the support of the Palm Beach Gardens City Council in our efforts to bring our vision to reality,” said Brian Donley, Vice President of Development for ShopCore Properties. “As we continue our goal to re-envision a center that attracts customers both day and night, these new spaces and improved areas will elevate our offerings. We can’t wait to get started transforming Downtown into a place that will inspire health, happiness and well-being in the heart of this great community.”
Construction is scheduled to begin in mid-July and all tenants, such as newly opened Voodoo Bayou, Villain Bikes and Vagabond Apparel, will remain open during the process.
According to ShopCore’s Nina Rogers, Vice President of Specialty Leasing, different areas throughout the center will be designed to evoke a getaway or vacation setting with names such as the “Recharge Lounge,” or “Palm Swing Court.” New awnings, colorful tiles, decorative panels, updated paint colors, new Bahama shutters and French doors, spectacular lighting, tropical landscaping, botanical sculptures and fun new furnishings will come together to offer a breath of fresh air to Downtown’s outdoor location.
“Our customers are top of mind as we continue to reimagine Downtown Palm Beach Gardens,” said Rogers. “The new outdoor furnishings and landscape improvements will create inviting and relaxing spaces throughout our property for diners, shoppers and all guests to enjoy.”
