The Expo will feature companies specializing in sporting goods, health foods, fitness clubs and other industries important to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. More than 600 competitors and race enthusiasts are estimated to attend. The Health & Fitness Expo will run from 3 to 8 PM at the Riviera Beach Marina Village Event Center.  Deadline to participate as a booth exhibitor is Friday, July 26.

Prior to the Loggerhead Triathlon, athletes will pick up race materials at the Expo, including t-shirt, bib numbers and important race day information. New competitors to Loggerhead Triathlon are encouraged to attend a First Timers Seminar from 6 to 7 PM at the Expo.

About the Jupiter Medical Center Loggerhead Triathlon
Dating back to 1985, competitors have made the trip to Jupiter year after year to enjoy one of the longest enduring triathlons in the state of Florida. Our Mission: To promote a healthy, active lifestyle and provide organized opportunities for physical fitness, wellness education, and psycho-social empowerment among Breast Cancer Survivors and their supporters through the sport of dragon boating.

Team SOS PBC members are from all walks of life and range in age from 30s to 70s with varied interests and fitness levels. Each of us is a powerful example that women can lead a full and vigorous life after treatment for breast cancer. SOS PBC offers an active, health-giving, life affirming opportunity for breast cancer survivors. We are a survivor group whose focus is on living, rather than on the disease that brought us together.

All classes are presented by a professional artist from Salt Water Art Studio located in Lake Worth, Florida. Instructors will be assisted by a manatee master. Online registration for Sunday classes will open at 9 a.m. on the Saturday one week prior to each class. Spots fill up quickly for these very popular classes so we recommend signing up as soon as you can.

Join us for a Lecture at the Lagoon and hear from a variety of interesting environmental personalities who happen to specialize in telling stories about really cool things. Fascinating topics range from the octopus population under the Blue Heron Bridge in Riviera Beach to why manatees really matter. Everyone is welcome on the first Sunday of the month, and other Sundays as noted on the calendar. Talks are scheduled from 2 to 3 p.m. with time for a question-and-answer session afterward.

Business Savvy Women is a Forum where professional business women come together in a constructively challenging setting to discuss a range of issues that arise in their business and professional environment. 
 
The objective of the Forum is to empower professional business women to develop and execute solutions to overcome the challenges they face in their business or professional environment. In practical terms, women will be able to draw from the wealth of knowledge in the room to develop and execute innovative solutions to successfully resolve their challenges. 
 
Each Forum is presented by the Women in Business Council of the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce will be facilitated by Cheryl Gowdie, Business Coach.  This will be in accordance with a set of protocols designed to create a thought-provoking, confidential and non-judgmental environment.
 
The Forum is targeted for professional business women who have acquired a level of experience and expertise that will add value to the group.

Cheryl is a Certified Executive Business Coach.  She works with corporations, business owners and senior professionals to support them to develop and execute strategies to achieve their professional and business goals. 

She acquired considerable leadership expertise at a strategic level and was for several years a university lecturer on various master?s degree programs. Dr. Donald E. Fennoy is the 26th Superintendent of Schools for the "A" rated School District of Palm Beach County. The District is the 10th largest district in the country with a student enrollment of more than 193,000 students. The District is the largest employer in Palm Beach County with more than 23,000 employees.

Prior to his appointment as Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Fennoy served as the District's Chief Operating Officer from May 2016 to March 2018. He graduated from Florida A&M University with a degree in Elementary Education. He went on to earn a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Central Florida.

Brain Sparks program to be offered at STEM Studio in downtown Abacoa! Explore the brain with neuroscientists from Florida Atlantic University's Brain Institute and Advancing STEM Community Engagement Through Neuroscience Discovery(ASCEND) program. This one-day camp for students going into grades 6-8, is offered in partnership with the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium and the Stiles-Nicholson Foundation. The cost is $10 per person, per day session, which includes snacks and lunch. Both sessions are similar, so we recommend each child only attends once.
