The Original Super Chevy Show Auto Show
JUPITER, Fla. – The All-American original automotive tour returns in 2017 for the 31st annual Super Chevy Show that will bring together the largest collection of Chevrolet vehicles in one place as part of the multi-day, multi-location event that has grown to include eight markets across the U.S. Starting in Memphis on Friday, April 7 and continuing through eight cities until the final event on October 13-14 in Tucson, Ariz., this exciting event with fun for the whole family includes drag racing for cash prizes, a swap meet, a Chevrolet-focused performance marketplace and more. Classes will cover everything Chevy and Chevy-powered, from classics and original restorations to the Gen 6 Camaro, street rods, trucks and customs with registered competitors vying to take home the best in class award and win a coveted Super Chevy Show jacket. The Super Chevy Show tour is the premier event that is directly connected to the legendary and wildly popular SUPER CHEVY magazine and SUPERCHEVY.com website. For the second stop of the series in Jupiter, Fla. on Friday, April 21 and Saturday, April 22 at Palm Beach International Raceway (17047 Beeline Hwy., Jupiter, FL), not only will spectators get the car show they’ve been waiting for, but they will experience SUPER CHEVY staff handing out special Editor’s Choice awards to a select few car show entries, and lucky entrants may have their cars selected to become a feature story in the magazine and online. There are several ways to enjoy one or all of the Super Chevy Shows – register to drag race, enter in the professionally judged car show, display a vehicle without the pressure of being judged, or take in the excitement as a spectator. With many drivers already signed up, those interested in joining the excitement can register now at www.raceit.com. In addition to the great drag racing, car show and swap meet at Palm Beach International Raceway, fans will enjoy an action packed pro show on Saturday, April 22. Danny O’Day will make two passes down the strip at over 160 mph on just two wheels in his Superwinch Wheelstander, and Sam Ives in Tulsa County HEAT WAVE and David Douthit in Black Pearl will see which GM based jet funny car is fastest over the quarter-mile. Additionally, the BMX Trickstars, out of Orlando, FL are bringing their X-games style trick show and bike safety course to PBIR. “The Super Chevy Show is a local favorite every year,” PBIR Track President Darren Thompson said. “We love working with TEN to bring our bowtie loving fans a little slice of heaven for the weekend.”
