Amy Angelo - President, Oceana Coffee
I have been a Floridian from the age of 12. I graduated from the Benjamin School in North Palm Beach and then went on to graduate from the University of Florida with two majors one in education and one in Speech Pathology. My last semester of university was in Florence, Italy which sparked the love of travel. I worked on private yachts for 7 years spanning the globe. I have worked with some of the world?s finest private Chefs. Extensively through Europe, Caribbean, and the south pacific. We have explored every small island from Tahiti to Australia. I even impersonated a chef for a last minute charter where the chef fell ill. It was a 3 week trip in Tahiti with 10 guests traveling to remote areas of French Polynesia that was exciting?. I impressed them however, and they asked me back for a second trip. I spent time living in Australia and Italy, Where the love of coffee and all things food and wine were only Heightened. My husband and I settled back to my home town of Jupiter in 2009 with our son, and our daughter was born in Jupiter in 2010. We have strong ties to the local Community and have built an extensive network of business professionals. The brand Oceana Coffee actually began in 2006 as a product that we had locally roasted for us in Brisbane Australia, We used it as a luxury product offering to our yachting clients with our business Oceana logistics International, Inc. Who knew that delicious and fresh roasted coffee would become our entire business!

Rick Opton - Owner, Loggerhead Fitness
Rick is an accomplished sales executive and business owner with a record of success at driving growth and profits of start-up companies in both the product and service sectors.
His love of health and fitness led him to purchasing a failing health club in Juno Beach in 2005. He has grown the club from 400 active members to over 1,600. Today Loggerhead Fitness has a stellar reputation in the community and in 2014 was awarded Small Business of the Year by the Northern Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce.
From 2007 through October 2014 Rick was fully immersed in growing a new venture, Harvest Marketing Group, an email marketing agency.  In 2011 he merged Harvest with SoVi Digital, a full service digital marketing agency head quartered in WPB.
In November 2014 the club underwent a $250,000 expansion. After 8 years of running Loggerhead Fitness from the sidelines, Rick decided to leave the digital marketing world to focus full time on the club.  His 8 years of digital marketing experience keeps Loggerhead Fitness relevant and interesting both onsite and online.

Nov 27 History Lecture: Spencer Stereoviews
History Lecture: Spencer Stereoviews Date/Time: Mon Nov 27, 2017 at 4 PM (1 hr) Join Josh Liller, Historian for the Loxahatchee River Historical Society at this free lecture to be held at the North Palm Beach Public Library, 303 Anchorage Drive, North Palm Beach, FL 33408. Melville Spencer was an early pioneer resident of the Lake Worth area who took up photography while assistant keeper of the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, usually selling his photos as stereoviews. Spencer’s stereoviews might be the only photos of the Jupiter and Lake Worth areas taken prior to 1890. These rare images depict the lighthouse, Seminoles, pioneer residents, early homes and agriculture, and wilderness scenes that would be unrecognizable to many modern residents of the area. Learn about Spencer and his lesser known predecessor, Fred Whitehead, and see many examples of their work.
