SUMMARY:ArtiGras Fine Arts Festival
DESCRIPTION:From its humble beginnings at the North Palm Beach Country Club to its current ranking as one of the premier fine art festivals in the United States\, the ArtiGras Fine Arts Festival has always stayed true to its purpose to promote cultural arts in Northern Palm Beach County in a family friendly environment.\n\n\n\nIn 1985\, the Northern Palm Beaches Chamber of Commerce created "Festival of the Arts"\, with 150 artists creating everything from oil paintings and pottery to wind chimes bamboo flutes. That year\, the 2-day festival attracted about 2\,500 patrons who enjoyed the visual arts along with live music\, dancing and demonstrations.\n\n\n\nIn that first year\, the goal\, according to event Chairman John Heffernan\, was to "become on of the premier arts festivals in the Southeast". 25 years later\, their vision has become a reality. ArtiGras is currently ranked as one of the top 20 events by the Southeastern Tourism Society and as one of the top 50 Festivals in the country by Sunshine Artist Magazine.\n\n\n\nAlthough some elements may have changed over the past 25 years\, the goal has always been the same. Since its inception in 1985\, ArtiGras has donated over $480\,000 to local non-profits\, school art programs and scholarships and more than 1\,200 students have benefitted from the Youth Art Program.
