Our speaker will be Patti Biggs, Owner, Out of the Blue Collection which is headquartered in West Palm Beach. Their coastal prints offer beauty and UPF 50 sun protection in the same garment. INSPIRED BY LIFE. DESIGNED WITH LOVE.
Patti Biggs is a South Florida fashion designer and creator of a women’s resort, golf and tennis wear line made under the Patti Biggs label. Headquartered in West Palm Beach, the high-end Patti Biggs collection features handmade, made in the U.S. coastal-themed dresses, tops, bottoms and accessories sold in 150 specialty boutiques in 15 states.
Biggs, who started making her own clothes as a child, grew up in the Palm Beach area, spending her days at the beach and in the sunshine. She had a difficult time finding clothes that suited her style, so she made clothes for herself and her friends. She designs the prints for the UPF 50 lightweight stretchy fabrics selected for a comfortable and feel-good look. Among the dozens of themes are starfish, coral, pineapples and leaves. Solid colors are also available. A creative and artistic high-energy woman, Biggs designs everything in the line that includes more than 25 dress styles, leggings, yoga pants, capris, bell bottoms, palazzo pants, long pants, tank tops, golf polos, shorts, long-sleeved tops, tunics, skorts, headbands and scrunchies.
As a teen, Biggs began selling to a couple of small boutiques. In the mid-70s Biggs met Lilly Pulitzer, who began carrying Biggs’ line in 35 of her stores. The clothing line was put on hold after Biggs married Dr. John Biggs, a dentist. She worked occasionally in his dental office while raising their four children. After her husband died suddenly in 2007, Biggs gradually restarted her apparel business, and in 2013, relaunched the Patti Biggs label fulltime. Her timing was right, and the popularity of the brand focused on casual coastal living has grown year by year. Biggs likes to say her creations are “Inspired by life. Designed with love.”
Biggs has furnished designs for Disney Hotel stores, Ocean Reef Club, Trump Resorts, The Breakers and Horchow Collection, among others. “People want clothes that are comfortable and make them feel like they can enjoy themselves. Sometimes the right clothes can really make you feel good,” Biggs said.
The Palm Beach North Chamber and Eastpointe Country Club are taking every precaution necessary to ensure your safety. There will be approximately eighteen tables of four people maximum. The event is limited to 72 people in-person. Guests will all be required to wear masks in public space or while not eating/drinking. Masks will not be provided.

The Chamber encourages the implementation of CDC guidelines but cannot ensure that infections will not occur. Event Cancellation Policy:
A notice of cancellation must be received by email within 72 hours (3 business days) prior to the event. NO verbal cancellations will be accepted. All cancellation notices received within 72 hours (3 business days) prior to the event will be given an event credit of equal value. Event credits will be applied upon request and are good for up to 1 year from the purchase date. There are NO REFUNDS.
