The River Center, Jupiters local aquarium, will host its 2nd annual Birthday Party on Saturday, August 21st. This fun family event is open to the public and takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Kids activities for the Birthday Party include Games, Crafts, Face Painting, Sprinklers, a Bounce House, provided by Jupiter Bounce, an Obstacle Course, provided by Keep Flippin? Gymnastics, a Touch Tank, and more! Local water safety organizations will feature exhibits at the event, and the River Center will host a raffle with items donated by local businesses. The Birthday Party will feature three shows throughout the day, two Gymnastics demonstrations at 12 p.m. and 1 p.m., and an Interactive Magic Show by Cookie the Clown at 2 p.m. Guests will also have the opportunity to try kayaking along the Intracoastal with kayaks provided by Jupiter Kayak Tours. Live animals from Busch Wildlife Sanctuary and the Palm Beach Zoo will be featured at the event, and local food and drink vendors will be on hand selling refreshments. The River Center, a program of the Loxahatchee River District, traces the Loxahatchee River from its headwaters in Palm Beach County, through the cypress dominated floodplain in the Wild & Scenic segment, into the central embayment, and finally out through Jupiter Inlet into the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf Stream. The River Center features nine aquariums and interactive exhibits, including a Touch Tank, and provides many educational programs for local children and school groups.
