Join our Palm Beach North Veterans Business Coalition on Friday, August 28th from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. as we learn from our Office of Small Business Development. Lunch will be provided.

OSBD supports small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs through SBE certification, hands on workshops, one on one guidance, and direct connections to county procurement opportunities. It simplifies the process of doing business with Palm Beach County, whether you’re launching a new venture or scaling an existing one, by offering clear pathways to technical support, vendor registration, capacity building, and visibility within the local contracting ecosystem.

About Our Featured Speaker: Angela Smith, Compliance, Training, and Development Manager

Angela D. Smith is a seasoned public administration leader with more than 20 years of experience advancing small business participation, regulatory compliance, and equitable economic development in Palm Beach County. She currently serves as the Compliance, Training, and Development Manager for the County’s Office of Small Business Development, where she leads initiatives that strengthen procurement integrity, streamline development processes, and expand opportunities for local entrepreneurs.

Angela earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Economics from Florida A&M University and her Master of Public Administration from Liberty University. She serves as a voting member of the Palm Beach County Contract Review Committee, is the Board Chair of the Equity Entrepreneur Center (E2C), and is an active member of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA).
