Event Description:
The Northern Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce, Woman in Business Council, will host their quarterly lunch on Wednesday, May 28th at The Hanley Center Resource Center. This month's luncheon will focus on females and Body Image. Minx Boren, President of the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches will be one of our guest speakers. This months program is titles "10 HealthWise Tips about Food and MORE that Really Can Change Your Life."
Minx Boren MCC is a master certified coach, credentialed through the International Coach Federation. Minx is also a poet, a writer, a speaker, a workshop facilitator and a chef who taught healthy cooking at Natural Gourmet in NYC for many years. With a background in nutrition and healthwise life choices as well as a passion for exploring new possibilities, Minx has also trained in such cutting edge technologies as Appreciative Inquiry, Emotional Intelligence, the Art of Convening, and Authentic Happiness Coaching. As founder of Coach Minx Inc. and a founding coach of EmpowerCircles.com, Minx creates and facilitates “essential conversations” that matter and make a difference.
Minx is also a columnist for several magazines, the author of five books of poetry, including, Healing is a Journey, to be released by Blue Mountain Press in May 2014 and co-author of four books for women. She currently serves as President of Executive Women of the Palm Beaches, as a Board Member of the Women's Foundation of Palm Beach County, and as an environmental activist on the Advisory Council of the Arthur R. Marshall Foundation.
Coaching is a process of inquiry and Minx’s favorite question, from a poem by Mary Oliver, is “Tell me what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” No matter your answer, Minx believes that extraordinary self-care is at the core of how expansive your opportunities for a fulfilling life can be.
