The 2017 finalists include Kimberly Lea, President of Keiser University's West Palm Beach Campus, Maria Marino, Mayor, City of Palm Beach Gardens, and Chelsea Reed, Business Manager at Palm Beach Spine Institute.

Kimberly Lea, President, Keiser University - West Palm Beach Campus
Kimberly is passionate about the role education plays in improving lives and creating opportunities for students and communities.  She serves as the Campus President of Keiser University, Florida's Career University, in West Palm Beach.

Kim serves on numerous local boards including the Economic Council, the Education Foundation, the Literacy Coalition, YWCA, Leadership Palm Beach County (2016) and Junior Achievement.  Kimberly has served on multiple panels discussing issues in higher education and leadership.  She is currently working on her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, which will be complete in 2018.  She enjoys supporting organizations that promote education as well as those which help to advance and support women and children. Kimberly lives in Jupiter and has four amazing children.

Maria Marino, Mayor, City of Palm Beach Gardens
Maria Marino, is a native of Connecticut and a graduate of the University of Connecticut. After winning the Connecticut State Women's Amateur Championship in 1985, she came to Florida to hone her skills and never left.

As a professional golfer, Ms. Marino has been a member and mentor with the Ladies Professional Golf Association since 1994. She served on the organization's National Marketing Committee, as Southeast Section Treasurer and a Member-Mentor Advisor.

Ms. Marino owns a Real Estate firm based in Palm Beach Gardens and serves as the Executive Director of the Jupiter Children's Foundation. With a strong belief in community service and philanthropy, Ms. Marino lends her talents to many public initiatives targeted at enriching the lives of at-risk youth and fostering relationships in the business world that benefit underserved populations.

Elected to the Palm Beach Gardens City Council in 2016, Ms. Marino become the City's Mayor in 2017. Currently, she sits on a multitude of county and statewide boards.

Always athletic, as a student she ran track, played volleyball, skied and was a cheerleader. It's somehow fitting that, 40 years later, Ms. Marino is back to being a cheerleader - only this time, it's for the city she's proud to call home. "You can be a huge success in business, but what have you done for your community," she asks. "At the end of the day, that's what it's about."

Chelsea Reed is an active member of the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce, serving as the Health Care Committee Chair and is employed as the Business Manager of the Palm Beach Spine Institute in Jupiter. Chelsea has been involved in local healthcare for over 20 years, with a focus on community outreach, project management, relationship development and event planning.
