2012 Sports & Fitness Expo - Loggerhead Triathlon

Over 600 athletes from all over the world will be descending on Carlin Park on August 4, 2012 to compete in the annual Loggerhead Triathlon presented by Gordon & Doner. Dating back to 1985, competitors have made the trip to Jupiter year after year to enjoy one of the longest enduring triathlons in the state of Florida. The Loggerhead Triathlon is sprint triathlon which includes a 3/8 of a mile swim off Carlin Park, a 13 mile bike ride down A1A into Juno Beach culminating with a 3.1 mile (5k) run to the Jupiter Inlet and back to Carlin Park. 

Competitors and race enthusiasts can attend the 8th Annual Sports & Fitness Expo the day before the race on Friday, August 3 at the Jupiter Beach Resort. Competitors can pick up their participant packet which includes their race shirt, race number and important race-day information, the Sports & Fitness Expo will feature a number of companies specializing in sporting goods and automobiles, health foods and other industries important to a healthy lifestyle. Also at the Expo, new competitors to the Loggerhead Triathlon will be given a ?First Timer? seminar. The 8th Annual Sports & Fitness Expo will run from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
